If you didn't catch the red carpet styles of the Hunger Games, Catching Fire premier in NYC you missed one sexy siren. Just in time for holiday celebrations, celebrity stylist, Matthew Monzon gives his inspiration behind Elizabeth Banks lovely updo and more importantly how to potentially work it into your look this season.
Using two of the most popular Davines products, The Sea Salt Spray and the Invisible No Gas Spray, Monzon chose to pull all of Elizabeth's hair back and up in order to bring attention to her sexy strong red lips as well as the stunning Jenny Packham pantsuit she chose to rock at the premiere.
HOW TO MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU
i. start with damp hair and spray Davines This is a Sea Salt Spray ($27; davines.com) throughout hair.
ii. while blowdrying, take 1 inch sections and twist the hair with your fingers to give it a dried textured feeling
iii. once dry, take a 1/2 inch iron and randomly wrap sections around, alternating the direction. select random sections
iv. pull the sides of the hair back and secure with bobby pins. take the top section of the hair and pull
back and secure with bobby pins.
v. finish the look by spraying all over with Davines This is An Invisible No Gas Spray ($28.00; davines.com) to hold the hair into place.
vi. select random bits, twisting and pulling the hair out loosely to create a more undone texture.
