Don't get me wrong, Thanksgiving equals so much more than watching hilarious old Thanksgiving themed episodes of Friends but part of the holiday for those who love the show as much as I do does mean loading up on how "they"spent their Thanksgivings through the years.  Football matches, Rachel's "meat" trifle and the time Monica and Ross shouted out most of their childhood secrets to their parents in a matter of minutes cracks me up no matter how many times I've watched it.  "Dad, the mailman you had fired didn't steal your Playboy's, Ross did"…..  They were all so damn funny it's hard not to think of them during this time of year.

In any event, I came across the initial list of Friends characters as they were first described for the pilot.  It's hard to believe that anyone other than Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Swimmer or Matt Le Blanc could have played these six friends so well.  This being one of my favorite sitcoms ever, at that period of your life or if you are in your twenties….which "Friend" do you to relate the most?  I'd love to know.

I LOVE Friends! It always makes me laugh....always. The Thanksgivings were great and I loved them all.

I am a Phoebe.

OMG I adore Phoebe. I always wanted a friend like her---looks like I have one now. Sadly, I'm more of Rachel. She was funny though :) Never ran out on a wedding but took a long time to figure out my life.

Short story (embarrassing too). I was president of the Society of Women Engineers in college and a few years after graduation I ran into a woman who was a freshmen at the time of my presidency. You know what she remembered about the society? That I wouldn't hold meetings on Thursday nights because Friends was on. :)

Too funny! I watch that show whenever I need to laugh. When I had surgery a year ago , I had a Friends marathon. Rachel is so funny and Jennifer Anniston is perfect. Actually, all the characters were perfectly cast as you mentioned.

Hard to choose favorite parts but I loved Phoebe teaching Joey French and Rachel on the blind date when she called Ross for closure.

The Cat and Closure have to be one my favorite episodes as well! :) I miss them.
