This quote/design by Jessica Hische has made the rounds on pinterest and tumblr over the past year but for some reason it stuck in my mind this past weekend. How many of you are truly doing the work you love? I hope more of you than not because I know it's not easy. To this day I have a hard time believing every eighteen year old knows exactly what they want to be when it comes time to selecting their major. On the flip side, I'm sure there are quite a few Generation Z'ers that already know what it is they love. Whether it's advancing technology, taking the fashion/design world by storm or are dead set on becoming scientists, writers, musicians or athletes (and so on), I truly believe they just know. The rest of us take time (sometimes years) to figure it out, and I think that is OK too. If you have to work a nine to fiver to pay the bills, that's understandable. It's a part of life.
The key is to never give up on the dream, the passion or what you find yourself doing when you think you're procrastinating. Giving up is the worst thing you could do because you are the only person that is going to get you there. Just a few thoughts I'm thinking about on this Monday morning. Hope you have a lovely one, friends.
