TASTE.43 | HUMP DAY HAPPY HOUR, 60's STYLE

I have to admit I'm enamoured by Todd's drink recipes at Honestly Yum.  He could take an average drink that has been around for eons and make it look (and taste) utterly delicious.  Until recently, I've never tried The Old Fashioned before as I'm not a tried and true fan of whiskey.  However, I took a sip of my husband's at a gathering we went to and I have to admit they're pretty damn good, and according to Todd's photos, pretty damn gorgeous, no?

As Todd mentions while creating this libation there are quite of bit of "farmer's market drinks" out there.  While they always tend to be fresh and utterly delicious, sometimes it's nice to keep things simple and go back to the old days.  Tone things down a bit and maybe go all Mad Men on your friends.  This is a good recipe to have in your back pocket when those nostalgic feelings kick in.  Enjoy!
