TASTE.37 | AN HOMAGE TO THE WOLFPACK

THE HANGOVER CURE

| ingredients | 
two lemons
seltzer water
one cup sugar
five tsp. red pepper flakes
one quarter tsp. salt
six inches of fresh ginger
peeled and chopped 

| directions | 
combine two cups of water
salt, ginger, sugar and red pepper flakes
in a pan over medium heat
slowly bring the mixture to a boil
and then reduce the heat and let
simmer for ten minutes
remove the pan from heat
and let it sit, covered, until cool
strain the syrup into a jar
and put it in the refrigerator to chill

fill a tall glass with ice
put two tbsp. of the spice ginger syrup
and the lemon wedges 
into the glass
fill the rest of the glass
with soda water and stir

*note
this works especially well 
with a shot of whatever you 
were drinking the 
night before
(if you can stomach it)
