Life can be fun and then sometimes it can be not so fun.  It struck me this past week when I heard from three dear colleagues turned friends that I worked with at a design company a few years back.  At the time, it was a place that I thought had sucked the soul out of me.  Looking back, I know now that had I never worked there, I would have never met these tremendously talented and inspiring women.  One of the them opened her own amazing shoe shop in a very cool part of Nob Hill (grand opening coming soon) and another design started her own company as well that has a jaw dropping line of jewelry----both of which I am chomping at the bit to show off on FS very soon.  And then there's one colleague that has become one of my best friends whom now I am most certain I don't think I could make it through the day without  her uplifting texts, her humor or her love and support.

Back then I didn't appreciate that I was able to share each day with these lovely ladies because we were in a not so pleasant environment.  Now I've learned to look past the immediate situation, especially if it's not exactly the situation you've hoped you'd be in and instead hold close the reason that you are there.  There is always a reason, a lesson, a meaning.  This, I now know for sure.  Hence Kerouac's lovely quote---be in love with your life.  Every minute of it. Even in the not so glorious of moments.  As time passes, you'll be glad you did.

Truly lovely sentiments, of which I can completely relate!! You've got to appreciate the bonds formed within less than perfect moments in life.

So very true Sarah. It can be a undesirable process but completely worth it in the end. Have a lovely evening and thank you for stopping by.
