THINKING 'BOUT | ALTERNATIVE HOLIDAY TREES

Every year B and I buy a holiday tree from the Serna family Christmas tree farm from Mora.  These trees are grown in Northern New Mexico, are unbelievably gorgeous and have that just cut fresh pine scent you instantly fall in love with.  This family knows their trees.

But lately, I seem to get a little anxious that we will buy a tree only to discard it a month later.  In addition, I'm not a fan of faux trees that are sold at big box stores either so I don't think we will ever go that route.  Any one else feeling torn about this?  I guess that's why these lovely, handmade trees caught my attention.

They are so unique, and simple, and oh so environmentally friendly--I may have to start small and try and make one for another one of the rooms this year.

Since we are talking trees today,
here are some of some lovely trees that were instagrammed over the holiday weekend.
