Or alone ever, for that matter.  This photo of Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot coupled with a few marathon conversations I had with my best friend last week made me think of how true this rings.  As days seem to fly by and weeks turn into months and yadda, yadda, yadda---you know the rest----it's a true treasure if you have friends that unequivocally have your back.  Not only in situations that turned out to be "against better judgement"----I'm talking all situations, good or bad.  If you've put in the work and built these type of friendships, you will never have to go it alone.

As we get older and get married or partnered off, your significant other tends to become your best friend.  Which is equally as wonderful.  But when I think of my husband's life long friends and then of my own---I know that he nor I will never be alone in anything that may come our way.  So for the young people out there---while you are off figuring out what to be or even where you want to be for that matter, make sure you carve out the time to build, cherish and nourish your friendships.  When you get a little older, you will be beyond grateful that you did.
